Juniors

USA Shooting
We are a member of USA Shooting

Our Junior Program teaches International 3 position smallbore (.22), air rifle, and air pistol for teenage girls and boys. The Junior Program is open to all athletes between the ages of 12 and 19. Practices are during the school year, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Mondays.  A junior may participate for as little as $10 per season.

Many juniors participate in area rifle and pistol matches. The experience gained at these matches, coupled with the skills learned at the club, build on our Juniors’ abilities and knowledge of the shooting sports.

NCRR, as a NRA affiliated club, does not discriminate based on sex, race, or religion. NCRR is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and has obtained several quality rifles for juniors’ training. Parents who would like their children to participate in this program do not need to provide equipment for them. NCRR provides equipment for their use during meetings and competitions. The CMP does have a program which provides good quality .22 rifles, at moderate cost, should you choose to obtain one.

Many of our young shooters have been invited to the Olympic Development Team. Several have been ranked nationally as well as in the world.  We at NCRR have also been fortunate to have several juniors go on to college varsity teams.
