Carbine, Garand/Vintage Sniper Charlie Slocum Memorial Match @ Academi range complex in Moyock, NC
Apr 1 @ 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Standard NRA rules will be used.

This special shoot will be 2 matches, the first will be a standard long range match at 1,000 yards, each relay gets 30 minutes to shoot unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record.

The second match will be a challenge match, similar to what we just did at 600 yards. We will either be shooting milk jugs or steel.

Academi has a secure gate and you must be on the access list to gain entrance.

Start Time:
Setup starts at 7:00 AM.

NCRR and Academi employees: $40.00

Folks are new to IDPA, or who might be checking out our calendar for the first time, should acquaint themselves with our website’s IDPA Program Information, particularly the New Shooter’s Guide.

Match Fee: $15. NCRR members receive a $5 discount. To re-shoot in the same division: $5. Please pre-register on Practiscore.com for the match (search for NCRR IDPA). Failure to pre-register may result in a $5 surcharge. When shooting a second time, you must complete shooting the first time and then sign up. To re-shoot in a different division, the full match fee is applicable.

Brass: This is a lost brass match.

Start/End Times: Set-up begins at 3:00 pm and the match will start when setup is complete. Signup ends at 8:30 pm. While sign-up on Practiscore is encouraged we still do take walk-ons. If you are there by 8:30 you will be able to shoot. If you are arriving late you should call NCRR first to see if we’re still taking shooters. 757-488-9861

As IDPA is a staffed entirely by volunteers please consider coming out to help with setup. For those shooting later in the night please consider staying around to help with cleanup.

High Power Rifle Match @ ACADEMI Range complex in Moyock, NC

This match will all be standard NRA rules across the course match on the electronic target system. Standard NRA rules will be used. There will be TWO SIGHTERS for each stage for this match.

    There will be 3 classes of rifles:

  1. Service rifle (AR-15, M1A, M1 as per NRA rules)
  2. Match rifle (iron sights only and must use a sling, no bipods or bags to rest)
  3. Unlimited rifle (any rifle, any sights, and can be rested via bipod or bags)
    50 total shots as follows:

  • Standing slow fire 10 shots for record
  • Rapid fire sitting firing 10 shots in 60 seconds
  • Rapid fire prone firing 10 shots in 70 seconds
  • Slow fire prone firing 20 shots.

If time allows, there will be a 600 yard challenge match after the main match for an additional fee.
