NCRR BUG/CCP Sanctioned Tier 2 Match
NCRR is pleased to offer our first IDPA sanctioned BUG/CCP match on October 20th and 21st 2017! This will be a tier two level match. Be prepared for eight fun stages on our indoor pistol range with an estimated round count of 144. Bring a flashlight, as we’ll have some dark stages!
We will have squads running every 2.5 hours in order to best accommodate 80 competitors. Trophies will be awarded based on IDPA rules. You must be an IDPA member and classified in your chosen division within 12 months of the match to participate. All IDPA rules will be followed in accordance with running a sanctioned match. This will be a lost-brass match.
What’s a BUG and what is CCP? I’m glad you asked!
BUG or Back Up Gun is defined by IDPA as a semi-automatic or a revolver in caliber .380 or larger. In BUG, the maximum barrel length for a semi-auto is 3.50” and 2.50” for revolvers. Lastly, your BUG firearm must fit in the IDPA box measuring 6 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ x 1 3/8″. In BUG division, the competitor starts with six rounds (unless otherwise specified by a course of fire) in the firearm and the competitor should have three reloading devices on their person.
Compact Carry Pistol (CCP) is defined as a semi-automatic firearm in 9mm caliber or larger with a maximum barrel length of 4 3/8”. Your CCP firearm must also fit in the IDPA box measuring 7 ¾” x 5 3/8” x 1 3/8”. CCP competitors start with nine rounds in the firearm (unless otherwise specified by a course of fire) and the competitor should have two reloading devices on their person.
